[Review] Regresan los germanos Victory después de 11 años en el dique seco.

El grupo de Hard rock alemán Victory, herederos del grupo de los 70 Fargo y liderados por el incombustible Herman Frank, nos trae su nuevo larga duración de mano de AFM records saliendo a la venta el 26 de Noviembre y que tiene como título “Gods of Tomorrow”. Y es que el pequeño parón realizado por Accept ha permitido a Herman retomar su proyecto en solitario (ya se reseñó su disco en esta misma página) y editar un nuevo disco de uno de sus primeros proyectos llamado Victory. En esta ocasión se rodea de una nueva formación que la compone el guitarrista Mike Pesin, Malte Frederik Burkert en el bajo y el baterista Michael Stein, donde destaca la elección de la voz de Gianni Portillo, y es que de algo se ha destacado siempre esta formación es de los buenos vocalistas que siempre ha tenido. El disco musicalmente realiza un Hard Rock con guitarras crudas y pinceladas de rock and roll que junto a la voz de Gianni les queda un disco de los que cuando los escuchas directamente te genera una amplia sonrisa.

El disco comienza con la “Intro de Love and Hate” que enlaza directamente con el tema “Love and Hate”, batería contundente, guitarras con riff que me recuerdan en algún momento a Status Quo, buen tema de inicio. “God’s of Tomorrow” es un gran tema con guitarras más rocanroleras y un doble bombo que mantiene una base rítmica contundente. “Cut to the Bone” es un tema que me recuerda en las guitarras a ZZtop con ese rollo chulesco que te hace no parar de saltar. “Dying in your arms” es una balada a medio tiempo y que me recuerda irremediablemente a Masterplan, aquí Gianni me llega a recordar a Lande. “Hold on me” vuelve a unos riffs más contundentes y un estribillo súper pegadizo. “Into the Light” es un tema que tira de guitarras más dinámicas y rockeras. “Mad” se erige como un medio tiempo y en la que Herman hace de las suyas con la guitarra con un raspado sucio que le da un efecto interesante al tema. “Unconditional love” es otro tema a medio tiempo con guitarras más limpias y buenos coros. “My Own Desire” volvemos a una batería más rápida y potente con la voz de Gianni haciendo de las suyas, tema potente con pinceladas Power. “On Fire” suena a metal alemán con riff contundentes y machacones. “Rising Force” sigue la estela del tema anterior imprimiendo más velocidad al tema. “In Rock We Trush” tema hard rockero con riff machacón que se mantiene durante todo el tema. “Leave You Alone” destaca por alternar riff más crudos con otros que se amoldan perfectamente al pegadizo estribillo.

Definitivamente estamos ante un buen disco, son esos discos que escuchas la primera vez y te deja con ganas de seguir escucharlo y de no parar de pegar saltos. Disco para tener en la estantería de mi cuarto, un saludo.
