[Reseña] El Glam Rock está en buena forma con “Not The End Of The Road” de Kissin’ Dynamite

Existimos todavía muchos metaleros que nos encanta escuchar la música de nuestra juventud; y ver que hay un grupo que realizan un Glam Hard Rock ochentero en la actualidad recordándonos a grupos como Bon Jovi, Def Leppard o Poison nos provoca una amplia sonrisa en nuestras curtida caras. Ese grupo no es otro que los alemanes Kissin’ Dynamite que nos traen su primera entrega con el sello Napalm Records y su sexta de su carrera.

Lo más destacable del cambio de sello es la contundencia y limpieza que adquiere el sonido del disco con una producción brillante. El disco contiene temas como “Not the End of the Road”, “Only the Dead”y “No One Dies a Virgin” que nos revelan el tono de este disco, temas muy directos con coros muy pegadizos y buen trabajo de guitarras. “What Goes Up” tema con guitarras rockeras recordándonos a los Poison en un tema más pausado pero no exento de pura energía. “Good Life” es un tema dedicado a los niños que padecen cáncer y que cuenta con la colaboración estelar de Charlotte Wessels (ex Delain) y Salvatio Mortis. Otro tema como “Yoko Ono” nos recuerda inevitablemente a Bon Jovi ochentero, incluso en el registro de voz de Braun. “Coming Home” sigue el recuerdo de la banda anterior pero en formato balada. “All for a Halleluja” es el mejor tema del disco con lucimiento de todos sus miembros y donde las guitarras rítmicas guían perfectamente el ritmo vertiginoso del tema y la batería marca los distintas pausas en la canción.

El tema “Defeat It” es un tema que me recuerda a Def Leppard, con unos coros con sintetizadores que nos recuerdan a la música disco de los 80. “Vodoo Spell” destaca por el uso del sempiterno efecto de guitarra que era marca de la casa de Richie Sambora y que te recuerda de nuevo a la época del “New Jersey” de Bon Jovi. El disco lo completa 2 baladas muy bien ejecutadas que son “Gone for Good” y “Scars” pero que para mí gusto me parecen excesivos en la dinámica de este disco.

Definitivamente Kissin D. nos ofrece un disco que rezuma calidad y donde vemos que existe una gran progresión por parte de la banda produciendo sonidos actualizados del sonido rock de los 80. Muy buen disco y mi más enhorabuena. Un saludo.

There are still many metalheads who love to listen to the music of our youth; and to see that there is a group that currently performs 80s GLAM hard rock, reminding us of groups like Bon Jovi, Def Leppard or Poison; brings a wide smile to our weathered faces. That group is none other than the Germans Kissin’ Dynamite who bring us their first release with the Napalm Records label and their sixth of their career.

The most remarkable thing about the change of label is the forcefulness and cleanliness that the sound of the album acquires with a brilliant production. The album contains songs like “Not the End of the Road”, “Only the Dead” and “No One Dies a Virgin” that reveal the tone of this album, very direct songs with very catchy choirs and good guitar work. “What Goes Up” theme with rock guitars reminding us of the Poison in a more leisurely theme but not without pure energy. “Good Life” is a theme dedicated to children suffering from cancer and that has the stellar collaboration of Charlotte Wessels (ex Delain) and Salvatio Mortis. Another song like “Yoko Ono” inevitably reminds us of Bon Jovi from the eighties, even in Braun’s voice recording. “Coming Home” follows the memory of the previous band but in a ballad format. “All for a Halleluja” is the best song on the album with all its members showing off and where the rhythmic guitars perfectly guide the vertiginous rhythm of the song and the drums mark the different pauses in the song.

The song “Defeat It” is a song that reminds me of Def Leppard, with choirs with synthesizers that remind us of 80s disco music. “Vodoo Spell” stands out for the use of the everlasting guitar effect that was a trademark of the band. Richie Sambora’s house and that reminds you back to the time of Bon Jovi’s “New Jersey”. The album is completed by 2 very well executed ballads that are “Gone for Good” and “Scars” but that for my taste seem excessive in the dynamics of this album.

Kissin D. definitely offers us an album that exudes quality and where we see that there is a great progression on the part of the band producing updated sounds of the 80’s rock sound. Very good album and my congratulations. All the best.
