[Englisk below]

English
Ladies and gentlemen, with all of you: Nasty.
After a long career (with their first album released in 2006), with 8 albums to their credit and tours around the world and the most important festivals, the Belgian quartet shows us that they are in better shape than ever.
And the thing is that with their new album, “Menace”, which was released on September 25, they will not leave anyone indifferent. And they show us that they have plenty of attitude and hard work for a while.
As they tell us: “When the pandemic started, it affected us all a lot during the recording and writing process. We wanted to write about the madness in this world.
This world is a threat to you, but it is also in danger of becoming a threat to this world through the information it gives us.
An album full of uncontained rage, with violent voices and extreme sound, that from its brutal beginning immerse us in a whirlwind of emotions, which includes both traces of hip-hop and melodic parts, always full of the energy that characterizes to the band.
And if it wasn’t enough, they manage to convey a sensitivity (for those who understand it) that touches the soul.
As not everything is going to be good, the only downside I can find is that it is an album that is really short. Despite being composed of 14 songs, as is usual in the hardcore genre, the songs are short, which means that the recording lasts only half an hour. Sparse but forceful, which makes you want to listen to it over and over again in a loop.
The album is accompanied by a suggestive and striking cover, the work of Michael Shantz, who has already worked with groups such as Bring me the horizon or Your demise.
In short, this new album, recorded by Andy Posdziech, and debuted by Century Media, is not only a recommendable album, but also indispensable in any self-respecting hardcore discography.
I will not forgive myself for not seeing you at the Resurrection Fest last year, but my physical conditions on Saturday in Viveiro did not allow it … Of course, for the next time they visit Spain I have promised not to miss them … if there is another one, because at this rate of cancellations we cannot have any illusions. Let’s hope so.
