[English Below]
English:
If there is a band that in a short period of time has managed to establish itself as one of the great promises of death metal is certainly the Danish band Baest that, since their formation in 2015, have had an exponential growth to take into account. The quintet has released its third studio album, Necro Sapiens, under the Century Media label.
The introduction of the album with The Forge gives a feeling of horror film atmosphere until the explosion with Genesis arrives in which the instrumental presence is noticed from the first moment with a quite heavy rhythm and, with the input Simon Olsen to the voice, the brutality is overflowing.
With Necro Sapiens the revolutions increase with a few times go faster with a very accelerated guitar riffs and with a double bass drum that intersperses with bpms somewhat slower creating a very interesting theme for the death metal lover.
Czar continues in the same dynamic so that the listener of the album has reasons to start moving his head to rhythms that can remember groups like Aborted or Bloodbath, groups that have influenced this set a lot.
Abattoir’s crescendo start with drums breaks with an accelerated guitar riff that again leaves us one of those songs with bpms fast but that is really heavy, but you know when to give time to generate a pretty interesting mosh when it comes to playing live this song.
If before we had a beginning of drums with guitars that go up as the song begins, Goregasm does not stay behind, generating an aura of darkness to give way to another hammer sound, of those that looks like a demolition hammer. There is no time to take the air of course in this half of disk to which we have already arrived.
Towers of Suffocation is like a continuation of the previous one, since both rhythms know how to unite very well although they are two totally different themes. As I said before, with this there is no time to take a breath between so much inciting headbanging. Of course groups like Morbid Angel can be proud that groups like this have emerged to continue the path they have generated.
What they leave more than clear is that they know how to play very well with the tempos, they know very well when to put rhythms more accelerated and others slower, something that with Purification Through Mutilation shines and gives a great reason to whoever listens to this album to enjoy this song a lot.
We came almost to the end of the album with Meathtook Massacre, another one of those that is a real machine gun at the beginning of the song if we speak again about the subject of fast and accelerated rhythms. Besides that in this there is no single moment in which they decide to slow down, it is one of those in which the double hype and the rhythms of counterbalance do not stop, that together with the voice Simon, is a song of 10.
To close the album, Sea of Vomit makes it more than clear that a battery can leave very interesting things when listening to rhythms, since Sebastian Abildsten demonstrates that he has a devilish level once again with the intro of this song until he breaks with the rest of the group, putting a final touch to the perfect album.
Without a doubt, as I was commenting at the beginning, this is one of those bands that comes to stay and, besides, to be noticed, as they demonstrate to have a great level since they have absolutely everything to become one of the most important death metal bands in the current scene. In addition, the combination with the cover designed by Mitchell Nolte (Aborted, Vampire) create a perfect combination with this album. For fans of bands like Sinister or those mentioned above, this album will be enjoyed from start to finish.
